Last week I caught up with Tanya and we shot some crispy editorial on Belle Isle. I wanted to shoot something super cinematic, where bokeh drew you in and the color stole your attention. Tanya pulled together a complementary outfit for each location, and we managed to pull off a pretty killer color flow. We spent almost two hours shooting our cool scene and waiting for the sun to get perfectly golden, but when the light got right we pulled off some dramatic looks. I think you'll all approve of the color-play in this series.Last week I caught up with Tanya and we shot some crispy editorial on Belle Isle. I think you'll all approve of the color-play in this series. This photo series was used as a base for producing some new REMY LUTs. I always like to have a few new LUTs up my sleeve with photo work, and now that my experimentation with video colorwork is getting pretty serious I've come to find a new use for my LUTs. The LUTs created in this series are available for download below under Creative Commons (NC) license. Apply these LUTs as "presets" in PS or use them to colorwork video.Read More
Fashion editorial is one of the more intricate sides of photography, since it requires a team of talented individuals to execute a project properly. This is why it's important to build a community around driven individuals, who can help each other grow and create better content. This is why I've been working on a few fashion editorial projects with the talented Brittney Ounanian over the past few months.Read More

Frida is a small boutique in Midtown, Detroit highlighting a heavily curated collection of apparel, accessories and gifts. Inspired by it’s namesake, Frida Kahlo, the shop is located in The Park Shelton, which was a luxury hotel home to Frida while Diego painted the murals at the DIA. The shop is an ode to Frida’s time in the area and her individualistic personality which purveys into modern women’s lib and popular culture. This series sought to capture the deep, rich, colors and textures present in the Frida collection, in a moody, earthy Brother’s Grim inspiration. As an objection to repeated outsourcing and whitewashing in Detroit advertising and commercial photography, Remy and Claire chose to work with a highly selected team, maintaining a standard of commercial diversity and locality – an option that is all too possible and often overlooked in the area.Read More
Impromptu shoots are my favorite way to meet people, and keep my creative edge. You have to befriend a person in a matter of 15 minutes, knock out a game plan in the same time, and pull off some epic photos all before the shoot is over.Read More
Last weekend Roderick and I got working on a fashion editorial series, and here are the results! We shot three casual outfits around Southwest Detroit, and thanks to bad weather we managed to get some epic shots using some massive puddles. Roderick is a recording artist from Saginaw, currently living in Detroit. He always had an interest in fashion, but hasn't made it a point to share his style, until now. Keep an eye out for more of Roderick's work in the next few months, I have a feeling we'll see more of him.
Speaking of Roderick's work, scroll below the gallery and check out a few of his tracks!
This past May I had to opportunity to shoot some editorial content for CLUBHAUS DETROIT, a Detroit based professional network that seeks to connect Detroit's talent. The idea behind the shoot was to use Ponyride (where the DET:Next Black Tie Ball will take place) as a canvas for a high fashion editorial shoot. I had six models on hand the day of the shoot, all dressed in a variety of "black tie" attire. My job was to tie together our location with high fashion, not the hardest jobs when you have a location that looks like Ponyride.Read More
